Bay window at side of house

    Hi,
I live in a 3 bed semi. On the gable wall there is no windows and it means the kitchen is pretty dark. I wanted to put in a window. I was thinking would it be much more expensive to put in a bay window like this compared to just a normal window.

And where is a good place to look at windows? I would be looking for high energy rating.

    Thanks

    Much more expensive...yes.

If you want to put in a bay window, probably best to speak with a builder to get a rough cost estimate, as, a bay window (like the one in the picture) will need foundations, walls and a roof (in addition to the windows).

Also bear in mind that you will need planning permission (most likely), so probably worth speaking with a local architect/technician.
