The sister of recently re-established Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has told journalists she believes the law should protect Australian children from being told that homosexuality is “normal”. Loree Rudd, a 62-year-old nurse who once trained to be a nun, had returned from a visit to Russia when she told News Limited she favoured Vladimir Putin’s approach to homosexuality over those of her brother and other Western leaders.

Meh. She's a nobody. Her brother, the only Rudd that really matters, had already come out in favour of it.

It's perhaps slightly embarrassing for him, having a relative disagree with him publically, but otherwise it's a non-issue as far as I can see - unless she wields some sort of influence or power in Oz that I don't know about.

Australia is the country that had a pro-marriage equality rap song go number 1.

Oz will in all probability soon be added to the list of countries with marriage equality.
