Would you be happy getting Hubcaps, a plastic steering wheel and manual rear windows when parting with €14,000

Do you not think €14000 should be able to get you something snazzier?

Ya ye are right my head is just wrecked from searching for a car.

    I wouldn't 90 bhp isn't enough on a car that heavy.

I decided not go for it. Thanks for the comments, the money is crazy for these cars. I was in Al Hayes in Portumna today, considering this car now...

Is there a massive difference in the drive experience between a 1.6 Mark VI Golf and a 2.0 Mark VI Golf?

My last car was a 1.9 TDI Mark V Golf. How would the above two correspond to that car. Speed, power, overtaking, performance etc?

There's not a lot between the 2.0 110 and the 1.6 really, I actually found the 100 hp 1.9 to be nippier

I'd go for the 2.0 a lot nicer than the 1.6 to drive and the highline spec is decent too.

Are you talking the 110hp version here?

    Isn't the 2.0 either 143 or 173 bhp?

I'm on the phone and the link above won't open....

In the early MkVI it was available in 110bhp as a stop gap until the 1.6 arrived.

Quicker, far higher spec, nicer looking, a fraction of the mileage...

    Would you consider going North

This would work out around same price as that in Al Hayes but a nicer car

A Diesel car that has done 12K Miles in 3 years is a bit suspect is it not?

Might be, but there are others out there too.

Not since the government messed with the motor tax systems and people started buying the wrong engine for their needs to save a couple of Euro on tax, while building up thousands of Euro worth of repairs:eek:

Beat me to it.. it's why I dread trading up in years to come and why buying a traditionally "high mileage" diesel is probably a safer bet in the long run as at least there's more of a chance it was used as intended!

That looks very nice, can't see the mileage on it though. I really don't know what to do.

Golf 2.0 litre Highline in black (2010)

    Or

    Audi A4 2.0 July 2008 onwards

I want to get one of those two cars and I keep flip flopping between the two. Head wrecking.
