Burglaries in Dublin 3..

    Hey, just thought I'd make you aware of some recent burglaries/attempted burglaries in the D3/Marino region.

    Two men in a white van are driving around the area knocking on doors and attempting to be allowed in to houses, where they then rob the owners.

    They knocked on a vulnerable old woman's door and claimed to have been sent by Dublin City Council to fix an issue in the attic. She allowed them into her house where they then forced her to get her bank card and go with them to withdraw the maximum they possibly could.

    A couple of days later they then knocked on another old woman's door claiming to have cleaned her garden and to open the door to pay them. She didnt open the porch door and the man then proceeded to try and force his way in but was unsuccessful.

    Just thought I'd post on here to make you aware incase you are approached.
