    Ok its a bit far off but under current rules what current rules in place for trying to get permanent work in Australia.
    I will be 33 when I finish my teaching degree and my long-term plan is to try permanently move down under

    You can enter all of your specific details there to get a list of visas you can apply for.

    at 33 you will only be able for a 457 or a PR visa.
    Both of which are very hard to get with teaching degree, as it's not a skill shortage.
    There are people teaching on a 457, but they can be very hard to get.

    PR currently is not available for teaching.

    Pre-primary and secondary teacher is on both the SOL and the CSOL. So bothindependent and nominated PR is available.
    Primary teacher is only on the CSOL, so only nominated PR available.

    To be fair I'd say a ENS for a primary teacher would be close to impossible.

    Wouldnt have any interest in Primary, will be secondary for me :D
