Serious back/hip injuries the past few years AFAIK. Not from Meath though so not sure if he is even back playing club or not.

Shame we haven't seen more of him recently as he is some talent.

He's slowly coming back from injury.
    Made an appearance with Simonstown.
Cant see him back in the county colours this year.
Hopefully he will be back tho.

That's the beautiful Meath style of play. They won All Irelands using those tactics so its no wonder club players see thuggery as the means of making the county team

Yes because Meath never produced any quality footballers down the years.Martin O'Connell on the team of the millenium was an out and out thug with no football in him at all,O'Rourke,Giles,Fay etc all the same.

Unless you were at that club game, well over 2years ago that happend as well, then I suggest you reserve passing judgement. It wasn't a deliberate dirty stroke,it was two men battling for a ball and unfortunately Shane was injured.

You're either a Cork man or a Mayo man, either way get over yourself with your petty gripe about Meath football.

He came back from injury but suffered another injury again two weeks later and was taken off with 20 minutes left for Simonstown.

It seems a bit mad that he's even playing this year after his run with injuries.

I think MOD wants him and David Bray back next year along with a few minors and 21's he is hoping to develop. If MOD gets a few years I'd say we'll have a serious starting 15 in 2-3 years time.

Wtf? When did this happen. Didn't this also happen in a minor game in Meath a while back? Sounds absolutely horrific!

From someone who never saw any of the mentioned players play, and that previous list does not include Bernard Flynn, Darren Fay, Tommy Dowd, Ollie Murphy, Graham Geraghty, Brian Stafford, Robbie O'Malley, John McDermot. It begs the question not only if you have ever watched Meath play but more importantly have you ever seen any football game? Or perhaps you think these names are hurlers.

Shane started played club football again recently. Hopefully he has the same ability to overcome horrific injuries as his father did, Colm was involved in a very serious car crash at a similiar age.
