Hi everyone, new to boards, but friend of mine advised to post on here, bit of help needed.
Applied for deer hunting licence a month ago, got letter after couple weeks saying that minimum 100 acres of land needed to get the licence. Have only 75 acres myself. Since then I was trying to get more permissions, but unfortunatly with no luck. Actually got two more, but farmers doesn't know folio numbers and not interested in getting them for me, just said okay shoot away when season. Have deposit paid for deer caliber rifle as well.
So I was hopeing to get the private lease or Coillte lease ( have Hcap done), even if I could get permission letter with folio number... its only 25 acres.(Im willing to pay for it of course) Have been shooting for the last couple of years, shotgun and rifle, silencer, insurance and love this sport to bits.
Any advise and help much appreciated

Get a herd number off them, farmers will know it like their mobile number.
Ring and explain that the farmers are too busy to get folio numbers.
Should have no issues. Seen it done plenty of times.

You can get the numbers here on the map. just zoom in on the land and select the field etc..

A1, I've just done it for my own permissions, works a treat

Why do you have to have a magical 100 acres? if you have 75 acres thats walking with deer whats the problem with been issued a licence for that.you could get permission for 100 acres and have sweet f all deer on it but now you have the all important 100 acre box ticked.doesnt make sense to me ?
