Fix spoke or upgrade

I have a set of Maddux rs 3.0 at the moment on which a spoke snapped today. Would I be better to upgrade to something like mavic aksium's (are these an upgrade from the maddux's) or fix the spoke on the maddux's and hope no more spokes snap?
