P45 need help

    Hi
    So I worked 3 months then my employer gave me a letter that he thanks me for my job. However I should get a refund tax because my PAYE was around 400 euro (my salary was 800 euro and revenue took almost half of this) an they are keep taking MY money even when I called to revenue, they said its something wrong with my employer because he did not registered me and so on. Now revenue sent me a P50 form to refund a tax but it requires a p45, the problem is they sent a p45 to MY OLD ADRESS (ye great people's I mean it seems that they don't care EVEN WHEN I ADMIT MY EMPLOYER THAT I CHANGED MY ADRESS) so I have to wait another 2 weeks just to sent back the p45 (but I bet new tenants will take my p45 and they will drop to bin) however I found my old p45 when I used to be on my old ADRESS, and my question is: Do I need new p45 issued my employer or the old one just to apply my f**king earned money. ?

    Ask your employer for a copy of the p45 maybe?

    You could offer to pick it up in person to avoid it going to the wrong address again.

    Well first of all , you need to be unemployed for at least 4 weeks before the tax office will consider a refund .

    Fill in Form P50 and send to tax office along with your most recent P45 . -Keep a copy of all documents for yourself .

    I was unemployed for around 1 year on Jobseeker Allowance, I started working in April ended in June. The payslips was always on emergency tax..They were taking off 100 euro, 200 euro 350 euro and 400 euro (?!).

    You need your P45 to accompany the P50. Your options are:
    • Get the P45 that was sent to your old address;
    • Wait until your employer returns and ask for a copy then;
    • See if there is anyone else in the business that could help you in the meantime.
