    Hi,
I'm looking at buying a car in the near future and am hoping for ideas. I'm looking for a mid size (like Focus) 5 door hatchback type car or possibly a small SUV. I would like something that has a reasonable bit of power ... all the newish mid size cars seem to have 90 - 105 bhp. But I fancy something with a little bit more, mabye 120-130bhp.
I've had a couple of Focus Ghia 1.6 petrol cars over the past few years and thought they were nice enough cars. I do maybe 12-15000KM per year and the budget could be around 20-25k. Thinking of a 2013 or maybe 2012. No preference for petrol/diesel.
I've been looking at a 2013 KIA Cee'd EX 1.6 diesel that has 126hp ... but hoping for some ideas from the vast knowledge on here please!!!

    Budget?

Edit: NVM didnt see it in the middle of the post.

If you are looking for something cheap to run, economical, and the kia 7 year warranty then I could see that cee'd being a good option.

Still, if it were my 20k I would buy something more interesting. 20-25k would get you a lot of 3 series bmw. Especially if you are ok with petrol as an option.

Newer Ceed isn't a bad car at all. My father has one and I can't fault the engine for what it is. Decent enough for overtaking. Steering is horrible though and it would stop be me buying one personally. Warranty covers dpf though which is handy as usually low miles and dpf don't go together.

What's your budget though, petrol seems to be making a comeback.

Thanks, but I'm not really a fan of rear wheel drive and BMW never appealed to me too much!

Budget is 20-25k. Why do you say the steering is horrible?

You can adjust the feel from light to hard, but either way it's a bit slow to react and is a little unnerving.

At that budget you have a good choice. Does it need to be new?

It doesn't have to be new. One of the reasons I was looking at the KIA is that it has a bit of power and it has some decent extras that I would like!
