Why are the Loyalists rioting?

I've seen some pretty harrowing footage of rioting up north over the past few days, but no part of the media has attempted to explain why they are doing so.

What do they hope to achieve by wrecking the place? Surely this has to be about more than being able to march down Ardoyne? Why do they even want to march down Ardoyne?

Wha? They weren't allowed to go down a certain street and so get angry and throw things. Apart from the usual Marching grip as the Parades Commission clamps down they regard it as symptomatic of Loyalism being put under the cosh as the republicans clean up in the "new" Norn Iron.

Like most riots (yes even here in the South), a majority of them are just scumbags looking for a fight.

Maybe the news should be more like a sitcom where at the beginning they have a short montage to help people who missed last week's episode (or in this case the last 40 years) to catch up.

They are bigoted racists who like rioting. They love the rush they get from causing hassle. Their rights are being reduced drastically to be in line with Nationalists, and as a result they are scared. The whole "fleg" thing comes to mind here.

To be honest, a lot of it is because they have fúck all else to do.

As with any protest/riot, quite a few are bussed in to increase numbers, they don't have a job to go to in the morning, and shure, isn't it their tradition.

If you sat them down, and asked them why are they riotting, I doubt many would be able to give you a proper answer.

The O.O. is a disgrace.

A group that prides it self on exclusion of half the population of the country that they live in and sing songs that glorify killing their neighbours does not belong in a new Northern Ireland.

They cant accept that the Parades Commission were right to stop the march through an area that nobody wanted them. Bit like letting the KKK march through Johannesburg.

I live in the UK and some of my friends have commented on whats happening and they compare them to the EDL as bigoted idiots, and thats the ones that actually know anything about the North.

The average British person knows and cares more about the Falkland Islands (Malvinas - don't want to upset anyone ) than they do about their 'wee country' and so called culture.
