    Thats what I thought initially, but the leaves are far lighter , almost like a big oak leaf, & when a leaf snapped off there was no white gooh coming out

    Ficus robusta is the normal rubber plant, this one might be Ficus lyrata?

    It's Ficus lyrata, a fig species from West Africa. Also known as fiddle-leaf fig.
