NCT & bodywork in progress

My car is going for an NCT tomorrow, which was the only date I could get that wasnt in a month or two. However, I'm in the middle of doing some bodywork and some sections are in primer. Would that be an issue? The car is white and primer is white... although obviously not glossy. The work done so far is clean and smooth, I just don't want to rush the "colour" coat and have to take the paint back down again. Any clue?

I don't think they're too concerned with cosmetics. If they are, then some of my yokes should definitely not have got through! Once there are no protruding, sharp or jagged edges. You could always ring and ask? Even if there is, you should just be asked to present the car again once all 'defects' have been addressed. I'm in at the end of the month. With the way cash is at the moment though, I'm not thinking of it as a test, more a shopping list for the service that I can afford next month...

No, primer etc won't be an issue. NCT are mainly concerned with things that are unsafe, jagged edges and similar.

Thanks guys! Just to confirm it wasn't an issue. The car failed on something entirely different. :pac:
