I am not particularly interested in examples -just wondering is it possible or rewarding to classify people into these two camps (those who think nothing of handing over money for whatever they want and those who realise that it might give offence if it wasn't done discretely)

In the past I have done something for people I considered a friend and who seemed to consider themselves a friend only to be offered money in exchange (I was annoyed enough to tell them never to do it again).

So is this an important character trait to be looking out for -or is it more something that is picked up as you go along (I haven't picked it up myself yet) ?

It depends on what you did for your friend... and the situation and if it left you out of pocket by more than a few quid.

If a few people drove across the country then everyone should chip in for petrol... and maybe buy the driver dinner or something.
But handing a friend cash like a taxi driver for dropping you home from somewhere would be weird.

Or paying a friend for sex. That would be odd too.

Paying a friend for sex would be hilarious.

It is not too disimilar though to sharing ex girlfiends around -you know like an older sibling might do to get a younger one off the mark!

Its a busy site by the way.

    Who did he want killed?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.
