Looking for affordable apartment to rent near Platja d'aro

    Hi !
    We are four - two oldies and two young teenagers (11 boy & 13 girl), flying into Girona next Wednesday (July 17) for 10 days. Haven't booked anything. Would like to stay in an apartment (room for us /room for the kids) with cooking facilities, a decent pool and not so far from the beach. Crazy - yes...but we are easy about it.

    We thought Platja D'aro beach might be nice. But are open to suggestions - considering not hiring a car but we may have to.
    Does anyone have any suggestions ? Even who to speak to when we get to Spain around midday....

    check out homeaway.com for appartment/houses... I have used them a few time to rent in the states are they were super.

    Hey there we have holidayed in Platja last three years in a row! Lovely Lovely place.. Homeaway is good... Send me a pm if you would like more info... We usually book 3 bedrooms and most of the apartments we book are seconds from the beach.. These were across the road from us and looked nice from the outside http://www.kosidlo.com/ ill try dig up some more links. The town connected to Plajta called S'argo is beautiful. There is a costal walk there past a famous hotel and the walk is magnificent. There is a decent water park in Plajta and you can buy a two park ticket for same price and visit the bigger park in loret de mar another day. You have many beautiful towns less than 30 mins each direction and if you fancy Barca its only 50 mins motorway drive. They usually have a tournamet around August so depending on when you go you could look at that. We went to barca vs napoli last year and the little guy loved it (so did the big boy)!

    Also the main street is full of designer outlets. Girona is lovely as well with a beautiful cathedral. We also went to E'startit up the coast which was lovely too. This year its the south of france for a change but nest year i may look at that area again i love it so much.

    We rented from these guys in 2011 and the apartment was awesome. Roof terrace all brand new 20 seconds from the beach.
