Do I receive a favorable exchange rate by using an ATM in Ireland and the UK to obtain cash? What fees will I be charged by B of I? My US card does not have a chip.

    Hi jjk11,

    Thanks for posting.

There is no additional charge to use our ATMs and they do accept Visa Debit and Credit cards. Your card provider may charge a cross border handling fee for using a US Dollar card in Euro and Sterling countries. The exchange rate on our own Visa Debit cards is set by Visa and your own bank can advise you if this is the case with cards issued by them.

Hope you have a nice time in Dublin and Edinburgh.

    Thanks
    Tara
