does anyone on here use this for their runs and if so how accurate do they find it?
i've been using it a while now and it seemed fine but i was using it this morning for my 5 mile run and it seemed to shoot up from 4.5 miles to 5 very quickly.i thought the route i had taken would've brought me back to my starting point in or around the 5 mile point but when i got there it was showing 5.46 miles.
maybe it was just a one off thing as i've never really noticed it doing that before.
are there any other android phone apps that anyone could recommend?

The Garmin fit app (and other mobile phone apps like Mapmyrun) are all only as accurate as your phone's GPS (which sadly is not terribly accurate). If the accuracy of your app is poor one day, then it would most likely have been poor in any other app also.

This is true, but you can help your phone by restarting it shortly before your run. Like computers, smartphones need to be restarted every so ofter. GPS is very time and processor intensive so best to have the phone working well.
