Hi, I'm looking for advice on what desktop computer to get/build. I know music production isn't nearly as intensive on a PC as gaming but I want to get something that will serve me well and be future proof to an extent. I'm not a computer guy and I'll need someone to build it for me.

    Things I'm looking for.

I want it to be nice and cool. I don't want issues with overheating. Ever. And I don't want noisy fans either. I'm open to getting a custom case if necessary.

I've always used Intel. I trust them and would like to stay with them but I'm open to ideas. My two and half year old laptop is i5 so I'd want something at least as good.

Small or smallish form factor. I don't want some hulking monstrosity of a PC!

Don't need monitor. Don't need keyboard. Do need Windows 7.

Be able to run Cubase 7 and multiple VSTI's simultaneously. I don't want ram to be an issue. I need to be able to run multiple instances of everything!

    Plenty of USB ports.

Don't care very much about the graphics card but I don't want an awful one either.

Finally price-wise, the cheaper the better. I'd like to pay around 550, but if you convince me that I need to pay more then I will consider it.

    Thanks very much.
