Need molar extracted

To cut a long story short,

I'm 20 and I need to get my back molar extracted (not wisdom) due to sheer neglect.
It really feels like my world is ending.

The dentist says that I'm young and that wisdom should make it's way back but I'm too young to be losing teeth!

Believe me I've learned my lesson.

Its not often the case that the wisdom tooth comes up un a good position. Also you can replace the tooth if you want with an implant or bridge depending on the position etc. Its not the end of the world, but just make sure that you dont loose any more bodyparts.

If it's any consolation I got a back molar removed when I was 18. Haven't had issues with my teeth again til now (I'm 21), now I just need a root canal but it was damaged around the same time as the tooth I got removed. You can learn from it, all my other teeth are in really good condition now, or so I've been told.
