where to head from Dublin for a weekend?

    After very long time i finally managed to arrange a weekend off together with the other half. so we are looking for a bit of advice from well travelled members of public :) where to go? somewhere max 2 - 2.5 hrs from dublin, with nice scenery, where we can hire bicycles or have a nice long walk. a possibility of a swim in a lake (or hire of canoe/kayaks) would be nice should a weather stay good.
    any suggestions/ recommendations will be very appreciated

    Westport ticks all those boxes.

    I spent a weekend there a couple of weeks ago. Lovely place.
