Guys, I have what looks like camber wear on the front tyres of the Golf.

From google searches it doesn't look like a common issue but my neighbours mk5 is exactly the same.

I don't believe it is tracking as its only on the very inside of the tyre and there's no feathering on the tyre

Anyone else have any experience of this issue? Is there any adjustment on the camber?

You sure it isn't just realigning/tracking that needs doing ?

When i had 19's on i was getting massive inner tyre wear on my rears (Scary bad)

Pretty sure it's not tracking, it's only on the very inner edge of both tyres.

When that happens to them it usually means the wishbone bushes are on the way out.

Cheers, I had a look over it when I serviced it, there's only 80k on it. Will have to have a good proper look at it again

Pretty sure it's not tracking though

They can be difficult to check when you aren't familiar with them. The front bush can be worn out and still look ok at a quick glance.

Put the handbrake up and see how much you can move the front wheels back and forth. Usually a good way of checking those, particular wishbones. If youve checked the joints then that rules that out. Also, inner tyre wear is a dead giveaway of too much outward toe. Outer wear indicates inward toe. If the trackings just been done, Id get it re checked. If it hasnt been done, it would be very prudent to do just that.

That test will check the rear bush in the front wishbone but not the front bush. Both can give trouble. When the front bush wears the tyres start to wear on the inside.

Also there is not much point paying for tracking to be done if the bushes are worn so it would be best to get them checked first.
