€1300 gaming build

Greetings, after days of deliberation I managed to convince myself to try and build a machine of my own. But with little to none knowledge of the parts, I come here seeking of assistance. I basically just want a machine that can run most games in ultra or high, and will continue to do so for the next year or two at least. Without further ado:

1. What is your budget? [€1300 in and around]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming. Mainly guild wars 2 and Starcraft 2.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need. 24'-27'

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No]

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] Yes

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes/No] Yes, why not.

8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] Flexible.

9. When are you purchasing? [In x days] as soon as possible

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Dublin 12

These are all from hardwareversand, a german website that generally the cheapest but you can shop around for better deals elsewhere. For example the gpu, if you go to overclockers.co.uk you can get a free copy of splinter cell: blacklist with all gtx 760 or if you spend slightly more you can get up to 8 free games with an AMD 7950

I'm interested to see peoples response cause I'm doing the exact same build in a month

Awesome! Will look into these now. Thanks for the input. And yeah i heard about that place. I've been reading a bit on this forum and people seem to recommend that place.

you actually can get splinter cell: blacklist on hardwareversand aswell. you might want to look into a better motherboard if you want to use sli/ crossfire in the future. this one looks good to me

That's a good build but I'd get a more powerful psu as it's an sli board and if you wanted to add a second card you might need a bit more power. The be-quiet system power 7 700w is a good budget sli capable psu.

You should be able to squeeze 2 cards into the build with a budget of €1300.

Do you need a 700w PSU for sli? would 500-600 not be enough?

It would but psu's are most efficient in the 40-70% range meaning you should leave some overhead for lower power consumption.

Most 500-600w psus don't have the connections for 2 high end cards either.
