Rabbits will lay on their side in extreme heat. You can easily see the white underbelly from a distance.

Have been out a few times during the week for rabbits. Only seen a handful of grazers in my usual rabbit hot spots. Went out after 11.30pm one night and there was a lot more out, but I usually find that after 7pm or so there would be a good few out but not since this heat arrived. Dont get me wrong lads I absolutely love the weather and long may it last but tis a b*tch to be walking through the fields in :(

We had pigeons still dropping into low rape at 21.30hrs the other night while the masses of crows we normally see or no where in sight through out the day.
Magnets, car batteries and long hikes to the car don't make a great match in this weather.

Plenty of rabbits about in the late evenings but my biggest problem at the moment is them poxy horseflies.
Got eaten alive on Thursday when I was out.
Also farmer is cutting the fields so there is plenty of crows about

The horsefies and midges play a big part in whether I go out in the evening or not. The must love my blood:eek:
