Can someone please help me choose a laptop for daily use. (Surfing, watching u tube and basic word processing tasks.

the cheaper one?

Pretty much any laptop will do those things easily.

However, if you're looking for good battery life. Wait out for the quad core from intel(the haswells) They have amazing battery life.

Or, if that's not important, you could wait for sales/offers as shops are going to want to get rid of old stock.
