Is it just me, or is there a "diet coke shortage" recently?

This is going to sound odd, but I've noticed recently a lot of shops have changed the 2 Litre diet coke bottles to those 1.5 Litres.

Soon after, these bottles are gone or understocked and they resorted to packs of cans.
Today at least two of the shops I go to have no cans whatsoever.

It's not all places mind you, just general shops like Londis and Centra.

Anyone know whats going on? Is it just my imagination?

Quite possibly, there's a major Ambre Solaire shortage that's for sure!

I went into a really large Boots store in Mahon Point in Cork yesterday and they had an entire aisle of shelves completely bare! Every half-decent sun screen products was sold out.

it's a worldwide shortage caused by all these dimwitted numpties sucked into an advertising gimmick running around trying to find a bottle with their name on it.

i wonder if it would have the same effect if i started writing fit girls names on my knob?

well, assuming they all had very short names of course. :o

That's actually true. Leave it in the bowl overnight, then flush and scrub, your jacks will be spotless.

Sick of hearing about this. There is no medical evidence that Aspartame is actually harmful.

    See Here

Also, Coke is not the only one to use it, all products with artifical sweeteners do.

diet coke and other such products is full of Aspartame

Aspartame is the most studied food additive, there are no conclusive negative health affects and a couple of articles you link me aren't going to change those studies.

If you want to argue about diet coke being bad, at least use a chemical like phenylalanine. It's not like I haven't read all this stuff before.

The only way you can justify you saying that is if you live in the country and hunt your own food.

    Good for you.

Of course the 16 spoonfuls of real sugar in normal coke is totally harmless!

It is not your imagination. First we noticed diet dr pepper in sixteen oz bottles. Then even the eight pack of smaller bottles. This morning the shortage included diet Pepsi in sixteen oz bottles. Is it a change in sweeteners?
