    Hi

Got my long awaited springer spaniel into the family tonight.:)

8 week old as of last Sunday.

Seller tells me neither wormed nor vaccinated.

I will ring around some local vets tomorrow ( Drogheda )

What do i need to get done for the pup and what approx cost am I looking at ?
Can vet costs vary that much for pup vaccination ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Nnghh - personally if I'd been waiting that long I'd have gone with a decent breeder that wormed and vaccinated his pups.

That aside you will need vaccinations, worming, probably defleaing, check for ear mites if it's come from a poor seller and also microchipping. Lots of Springers stolen this year so this is something I would be getting done if it were my pup. You're looking at the guts of €100 I would imagine and will need to go back in 2 weeks for the second injection.

Get it done asap though, if the pup has never been wormed then it needs to be done as a priority and parvo is a horrible disease so don't take any risks.

Please do some reading about puppy ownership and training.
