got a letter from the social welfare
giving me an appointment to get a public service card? i assume its a new type of social welfare card,
    can anyone confirm this?
also can anyone tell me what its like in the place, is it busy? or is an appointment a guarrenteed time to get , because the social welfares idea of a appointment normally means waiting around longer then the appointed time

    thanks :)

Yeah I got that a few months ago. When I was there it was very busy, I was spot on time but I had to wait maybe another hour to be seen, the whole thing maybe took 2 hours (even though the appointment itself only took maybe five minutes?) because I did not have a passport or drivers license and I had to wait in another queue to sort that out as well.

Depends on what Office you have to attend. I got mine in Clonmel. I was a bit early, but was seen straight away and was out again in 5 minutes. Make sure you have all documentation required.

Safe station 1 is just a room in your local welfare office, all in all if you have any needed documentation with you, it should only take about 20 mins top

    it says

Please attend at: GANDON HSE SAFE STATION 1

its on amiens street, so i assume it will be very busy

just concerning this safe station 1, do i head straight into this "room" or is this just the name of the whole place, and i take a ticket and wait to be called

When I did it in Tallaght it was just a room inside the building,I just took a seat outside the room and they called me in after about 5 mins

Everybody has a specific time so there should really be no holdups if you have all your documentation :)

Hi, sorry to open an old thread but I got one of these SAFE registration letters in the post for a previous tenant who no longer lives at this address (I think she might be deceased).

Any idea who I contact to get their name removed from government records for this address?

Return the letter with "not know at this address" written on it.

I'm thinking of just bringing it to Amiens St when I'm in work next week (only a few mins walk away)

You may be better off using the post as the letter is not addressed to you the data protection act may be the only answer you might get in the office.

When you get off the Luas, walk across to the Square, the entrance is approx a 45% angle from the Luas stop, once inside walk straight through and exit out the opposite door, turn left and walk past Argos and its just there on your left :)
