Backdating Claim Question

    Hi,

I'm looking for another opinion on a backdating claim.

I got laid off in May, finished up on the Thursday 30th, just before the Bank Holiday weekend, I didn't get my P45 till the following Tuesday and didn't get to the Dole Office till the Thursday(7 days after I got laid off) because I had a Job Interview on the Weds.

When I got my claim 2 weeks later, it was only from the 10th of June, essentially I had these 3 not payment days added on to the day I first went down to the office. So essentially I missed out on 7 days as well.

I don't need the money as I got a new job and am already back working and I also got redundancy but I would have thought that it would have been back dated till the day my P45 says.

So if I hadn't have gone to the Office that day instead went to the Carribean for a month I would have missed out on entire month.

Seems very unfair considering the date mention on P45.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
