Hi, Ive looked everywhere but nobody seems to have published a proper map of the Luas green line route, preferably entered in google maps, all there seems to be is that ridiculous straight line map you see everywhere, has anyone ever seen a proper one please?

the stops are shown on google maps. It wouldn't take too long to add the line in yourself if you can't find it anywhere.

Shown if you zoom in and inch over the map yourself but I dont feel like wasting a few hours like that when there should be a useable map somewhere and I dont have the time either, can you imagine a tourist wanting to use the Luas to get somewhere and trying to figure out that straight line map thats basically just a list of stops? Stop names that dont even mean anything in relation to the areas they're located in unless you've lived in Dublin?

This is the first result for a google search of "LUAS Google Maps", the first thing a visitor will try:

    https://maps.google.ie/maps/ms?t=m&vpsrc=6&st=112334869561858955379&rq=1&ev=p&split=1&q=pearse+street+dart&radius=0.95&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=218402320109635624222.0004b2555b53e53492106

The rest of the links are a mess like that aswell. How the hell could they not have mapped it by now? Even Dublin Bus have a Google map link to every single route on their website because they know its the first thing people want to see.

If you turn on the "transit" layer on Google maps for dublin, you can see it at a zoomed out stage.

    It's a zonal map - what's "ridiculous" about it?

Public transport maps don't have to accurately physically represent the lines. They need to be clear and this one is - the point of it is to give a representation of the lines and to give a clear indication of the fares that apply.

The London Underground map is a case in point - the lines physically differ significantly from the representation of the underground map. They don't have a google version on their site.

When I go to google maps and click on one of the little tram symbols the whole line shows up for the red and green line. Easy to follow the routes.
