    Have you tried going to the machine and checking for zonal tickets such as the short hop? You can get student ones of those both monthly and maybe weekly. Used to used it to travel from portmarnock to maynooth came in around the 25 mark for weekly and 80 something for monthly if I remember correctly. Not sure if it goes out as far as Newbridge though

    Edit: unfortunately it doesn't stretch out that far

    There are weekly and monthly student fares from all intercity stations.

    Irish Rail do not publicly list them online though

    A better service from Newbridge is the 126, the 123b only runs a couple of times a dayService 126
