Cork to Belfast

    Doing Cork to Belfast in the morning. Need to be in Belfast for 11.30.

    Google Maps is saying about 4 hours. Is this a good time for the journey ? With M50 and Belfast traffic, would leaving at 5 or 6 AM be good enough ?

    I do Swords - Belfast and Swords - Cork quite regularly. Cork always takes 2.5 hours and Belfast 1.5 so four hours is fairly accurate if you more or less stick to the speed limit (cough) and don't take a break. Personally I wouldn't fancy 270 miles of tedious motorway driving without a pit stop or two, so I'd allow five hours and that should see you OK, including the M50 slow down and whatever happens on the approach to Belfast from Lisburn.
