It's dirt, but gallahad from Aldi, it's only €9 for 12 cans and only 4% so that you don't end up wankered at 3PM.

Something to drink and you can't say no to 12 pints for 9 euro! I only get to drink once a week as I'm unemployed, so I want it to last!

At a recent barbeque I had Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, followed by bottles of Guinness Extra Stout in the pub.

Been buying a fair few cans of Dead Pony Club.

It's handy because you can pop into McCambridges on shop street, buy a can and drink it while you stroll down the street and nobody is any wiser because it looks like a soft drink :D

Had a To Ol Final Frontier in Cassidy's yesterday evening. I expected a hop bomb but found it slightly curious. It certainly wasn't as floral as I expected but the maltiness was complex and the final flavour was a lingering bitterness. Although it is 9% the alcohol was nicely covered by the flavour. Very tasty indeed.

I also had a Bo Bristle afterwards but was really disappointed. Below average at best. No real hop character, a slightly murky flavour with a hint of malt but overall just a pint of liquid disappointment.

Not sure where the cheapest place is, I've been paying €2.50 per can in Carryout in Ashtown. I'd say that's the going rate.

If you're near the border, it's very cheap in Sainsburys. £2.50 for a 660ml bottle of Punk IPA.

Unfortunately it seems to be always around the €2.50+ mark down here.

I just picked up a few can at €2.30 each in the off licence in Applewood in Swords about 30 mins ago.

On a whim I tried a pint of Blanche De Bruxelles with my dinner today. Good choice, it's really refreshing. Dunno if it's supposed to be served with a slice of lemon, but it really hit the spot in some very unpleasant heat.
