Replacement for Transgear Ethernet DVD player

I have a Transgear 500 DVD player which I connect via ethernet to a media server WizdXP running on my PC. All connected external disks are thus visible via the player to TV. However, the formats supported on the Transgear are limited (no MKV or .264) so I have been looking for something similar but more up to date. I bought a Sitecom media server box but it does not see the WizdXP server. I also bought a Panasonic BluRay player with ethernet but it does not see the WizdXP either. I am trying to use the Media Server function in Windows Media Player, but the BluRay does not see it (it sees Vuze!).

Any suggestions for either issue? Thanks
