A Teaching Pro that cares

I am a keen golfer, however, my swing has some serious technical issues which have been there since I joined a club in 2008. I have used two professionals during that time. First guy for 3 years and second guy on/off last 2 years.

First guy ran 30 min slots and was very good. Due to location I had to change

Second guy again is a decent teacher, however, he is a busy guy and hard to pin down at times.

I have improved but my swing hasn't advanced as much as I would like, it is mainly my short game that keeps me alive.

What I would like is to hook up with a pro who actually cares about your overall game.... goes through your mental, short and long game.... takes playing lessons up front to understand the key issues and develops an improvement plan over a fixed period of time.

I understand pros are normal blokes and have their own schedules for play and fit lessons into certain windows that suit them.

Am I looking for too much?

Anyone with recommendations for what I'm looking for in South Dublin/Wicklow/North Wex area?

How much of a distance are you talking ?
If it's within an hours drive, and you were happy with him, then maybe consider going back to him. You shouldn't need a lesson that often so it may be worth it.

I'd recommend Ciaran Carroll in Bray golf club for south dublin, north wicklow direction.

    probably!

These guys normally teach six days a week and at this time of year are fully booked if they're any use.

It's a bit like being in a class of 40 students and expecting the teacher to spend more time and effort with you than the others. Not gonna happen (unless you're paying more!)

David Lewis in Greystones driving range ticks all of the boxes above!
He has all the camera's/slow mo software etc and has recently bought a trackman. He also is very generous with his time outside of paid lessons. Never a problem for him to stop with you on the range and if you are in trouble he will give you some time free.
He does the short game/playing lessons etc in Greystones GC where they have a lovely short game practice area.
He is calm and doesn't get too technical unless that is what you want! Try him :D
