    Hi Everyone,

Hope you all are enjoying the weather.

My car ('95 Corolla) makes a knocking noise while driving over humps and bumps in the road. What do you think this is? It does'nt only occur when turning, so I doubt it is a CV joint problem.

From a safety perspective would this be a important to fix ASAP?

    Thanks

Could be a loose / worn drop link, but really having a look under is the only way to tell what it is.

Drop link, top shock mount, ball joint. If its over bumps it more than likely suspension/bushing related. Could you open the bonnet and push down heavy on the car to see if you can re-create the noise.....may be able to help you pin point the cause.

Several possibilities: Worn out shock, worn suspension bushes, worn drop links, work anti roll bar bushes or worn track rod ends. The only realwY to find out is to get the car on 2 post lift with the wheels suspended and get under it with a prise bar and physically check each component.
