Places in Slane for a Photo

    Getting married in Old Mill this October. Would like for 2 of us to slip away for 30mins or so to get a few photos. Any hidden gems to get a shot, something quirky?

    There's an old ruin across the valley from the Hotel - on the left before the bridge going North on the N2.

    There's also some old lock gate piers along the canal down by the river. (might not be accessible in October though)

    There's always the old Monastery on The Hill too, if you don't think that would be morbid.....

    There's Ledwidge Cottage on the Drogheda road too....

    If its a week day the Castle is open for tea and coffee tues to fri? Or is it mon to thurs?

    It was Sunday to Thursday last year AFAIK, but I haven't seen the sign out for it this year at all.

    If you have time pop down to Ardmulchan, fantastic view of the boyne from there :)
