There is a new book on Irish Geology - "Geology of Ireland: A Field Guide" by MacCarthy et al and has a section on fossils. Having a scan through it and enjoying it so far, but I'll admit a slight bias as I used to know one of the authors.

Nice. Does it give any fossil hunting locations?

Afraid no specific areas for fossils, but in mentions location of microfossil areas.

Ah, unfortunate. I was in the mood to do some fossil hunting over the summer.
