Rent allowance application - waiting times and still get old payment?

How long roughly do you have to wait after posting the RA forms for the Dublin Central rent office? Also will they still pay me my old RA while they are assesing my new claim? (I have already been getting some RA for another address, but I moved, so I had to put in a new application, still getting RA for the old address).
