As the title says I'm a newbie at road cycling. I'm just wondering should I be more focused on distance or speed? I'm currently doing between 25-30k a couple of times during the week and just under 40k at the weekends with an average speed of between 21k/hr and 24k/hr (according to my mapmyrun/bike computer) - is this an okay speed to be starting off with? (My speed just drops on hills and second half of my route seems a bit more uphill than the first!)
