    Hi,
I had decided on a knee length wedding dress as I wanted something different, simple+ no hassle on the day. We are having the civil ceremony in France+church in Ireland. It's a small wedding. However, a few people have said that I should go with a long dress for the church as it will add more to the WOW factor, stand out more etc.
    Any advice??
    A.

I see a lot of brides wearing 50's style vintage wedding dresses at the minute and i think they look fab! something along these lines? each to their own though - dont be afraid to do your own thing.

go for it - i think they look gorgeous - all the long dresses are blending into each other and looking the same at this stage.

Don't listen to what everyone else says. Everyone seems to have an opinion when it comes to weddings. Just pick whatever you like and will feel most comfortable in.

It's the tea length style, very in right now and there's plenty of styles to choose from in most of the main bridal shops. I'd argue that the length stands out more than traditional style, and if you add a pair of fab shoes then it's all the wow factor you could ask for :)

Cheers guys for your positivitity! I haven't tried on any tea length dress - I'm 5 foot 2 so they mightn't really suit me - but will go for the knee length and be different.

My dress sits just above the knee.

I found that unless you had quite a lot of money to spend then most of the longer ones all looked very same-y. There was some gorgeous longs ones out there but just way out of my price range.

By going for shorter I got something that looks more glamorous/luxurious, but without the huge price.

I'd say go with whatever you feel the best in! I think shorter dresses can be just as special and fitting for the occasion as long ones!
I tried on both, was sure i was gonna go for knee or tea length. Ended up with a floor length gown with a train :) you never know what kinda dress you will fall in love with!

go for what you like and what suits you. Don't worry about others thinking what should be a wow factor; saying short length does not have wow factor compared to a long dress is like saying Audrey Hepburn was not elegant... seriously.

As suggested a shorter dress can be teamed up with fabulous shoes for the extra touch. Tea length is lovely on small frames as well (unless its as wide as it is long), just make sure the length is right - tea length dress on a 5'8" is not going to look right length on 5'2".
