Lens Help

    I have a Canon 40D which I use for sports with a 28-350L lens.
    For other stuff i use a Tamron.
    Problem I have is after a short while on the Tamron the AF stops working (on both lens) & I have to reset the camera!!!!!

    Any ideas?

    I had this on a Nikon, stopped auto focussing after a short while and had to turn it on and off to get it to work again. Iso alcohol on a q-tip and cleaned all the lens contacts on both the camera and lenses and it was perfect again.

    Not everyone knows what is iso alcohol, so it is isopropyl alcohol and this one might be used to clean electronics.

    Soccer Head don't use regular alcohol or the one purchased in the pharmacy.

    I was considering getting rid of the lens but it is excellent!

    Yea, sorry, Isopropyl alcohol which is used to clean electronics and the like. I got a small bottle of it with my lens cleaning kit but larger bottles can be got in maplins etc.
