Fuel gauge, speedometer etc. not working!

    Hey guys, all the gauges on my 99 nissan almera have stopped working! they were intermittently working last week but have completely packed in now! any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Did you check the fuses?

    Same happened in a c5 I had. Get down to your local scrap yard and pick up one.

    Check the alternator relay.

    Take the relay out and Bridge it with a smallish gauge wire and start the car.
    If the gauges are working it's the relay.

    Don't drive around with the wire in, not safe.

    thanks for all the replies guys, I'll check the alternator relay tomorrow, hoping that's it... I'll get the cluster if it's not. Is replacing the cluster a big job??
