I've been offered a job in Hong Kong teaching English to children. The company requires that I send them a criminal background check. Any idea how I go about getting one?

Go to your nearest Spar and ask for one.

Alternatively, go to the garda station.

Garda Vetting Procedure is as follows:-
Personnel who are subject to Garda Vetting will receive a Garda Vetting Application Form from the registered organisation where they are seeking a position.
The applicant completes the application form and returns it to the Organisation. He or she must sign the form, thereby providing authorisation for the Garda Vetting process.

This is not Garda Vetting, which can only be applied for by Irish employers or community gorups.

This is a police check, the same as you get for overseas visa applications. You simply go to your local Garda station, and ask for it.
