On the NCT disc it says Ford Focus 2007.
The Reg on the insurance disc is 2008.

Thats the only odd thing i see, but the insurance disk may be from the old car while wainting on the new disc to be issued?

Posting your insurance details online would be a no-no I would have thought?

Yes it sounds bit dodgy, but in fact I can't see any risk really.

    Any examples?

Ring insurance company, give details, and say he hit you and drive off?

Surely if you wanted to pull a stunt like that it would be easier just to go to a car park and take the details off the first windscreen you saw, rather than scouring the internet in the hope that somebody posts a picture of their insurance disc!

    Hilarious! ^^

Seriously though, why did they need to change something that wasn't broken?

It doesn't achieve anything but create confusion.

Aesthetically, the yellow certs looked much better imo

To try and make it harder to produce fraudulent discs/certs maybe?

Why do they change the color of hte tax disc every few months? Id imagine its the same thing with the NCT.

Tax disc colours change every year iirc and the reason behind it i though was to make it easier for the gardai to determine whether its a current disc upon first glance at checkpoints etc.
