Bespoke suit online

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has bought a bespoke suit online before? I am organising to get my measurements taken by a tailor in Dublin and was then going to order online but I was wondering if anyone has done this before and if so, could recommend a good tailor?

The prices seem a lot cheaper in some of the Thailand online sites but would I be getting good quality?

    Thanks

There are many, I'd say to check out the Indochina and ModernTailor megathreads on Styleforum to get some feedback. These would be two of the more reputable online tailors.

Also, I don't think it can realistically be called bespoke when it's simply measurements sent in and a suit produced. That is made-to-measure (MTM).

As for quality, I don't see the suits comparing at all to true bespoke from an experienced tailor. However, it depends what your reference of quality is I guess! If you get your measurements spot on, then you'll get a reasonably fitting suit. Generally though, it takes 2-3 separate purchases when doing online MTM to get the details dialed-in (another reason to go local bespoke as the cost won't be that different for 1 bespoke vs. 2-3 online MTM).

I've ordered shirts off ModernTailor before and it took 2 purchases to get my fit nailed down. All depends on how much attention to detail you want.
