I sprayed a field for reseeding with roundup biactive the other day, lots of thistles and some heavy rushes. How long would I need to leave it before I plough? its 4 days on now

Most would say leave till he field is brown

However I think 4 days plenty! Craic on with the plough

7 days. It goes brown on top before the roots are dead.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

7 to 10 days but you can graze it off earlier 4 or5 days iirc handy if theres a bulk on it for direct seeding

Good stuff, 6 days later. Are you putting out lime? Especially good where you've a lot of decaying vegetation.. In fact did you soil test?!

Just noticed in the journal some rain forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday so hopefully it will work out nicely. May you be lucky;)

id say he was ploughing on average 7/8 inches. i asked contractor to keep up if he could but he said he couldnt as the sod wouldnt turn over if he did. he said he would normally be going a lot deeper

neighbour ploughed field next to mine last year and used same contractor and he tells me its similar so if it works out half as good il be delighted, its growing serious grass this year

field requires 11.25 tonnes of lime to hectare. its a 7 acre field so got a tonne of gran lime today and a tonne 10/10/20

will put out 2 tonne ground lime per acre later on when hopefully grass is established

not a lot of rain in pipeline so unsure whether to hold off or not
