Driving Test

I'm doing my driving test next Wednesday at the test centre in Tallaght and I'll be getting a pretest this Friday and the following Tuesday as a refresher.

I suggested to the driving instructor that we conduct the pretests there but he recommend against it, what can I expect on the Tallaght route as I'm not that familiar with the area driving wise.

Why did he recommend against it? Sounds like he doesn't know the routes. I'd be booking an instructor who does

Thanks for the videos it's good to know what to expect, I've insisted on the instructor conducting the pretests in Tallaght I'll let you know how I get on.

How did the test go? My instructor insisted on pre-tests ONLY on the test routes.

Got on great, passed my first time with the help of my instructor. I did four pretests in total, one on the Friday (1 hour session), two on the following Tuesday (2x 1 hour sessions) and the final pretest (1 hour session) an hour before the actual test on Wednesday.

You definitely want to familiarise yourself with the routes, there are four in Tallaght and practise as much as possible in the run up to the test.

Well done. I dont know too many people who passed first time. Its a great feeling to take down the L-Plates :P
