    Hi,

I'm just doing a manual wordpress install on a linux shared minimus account, and am having difficulty creating my wp-config.php file. The only reason I can see for this is my database uses may not have permission, but I can't find an option to change this in the control panel.

Can I do this myself, and if so, can you indicate where?

The only other issue could be if localhost is not where to contact the databases server?

    Thanks
    :D

    Two things

    - writing to the config file is a file permissions issue and not a MySQL related issue

    - our DB servers are NOT on localhost - the actual address is in your control panel

(I with Wordpress would stop assuming that everyone uses localhost .. )
