    Hi

I have a bit of a strange request.

I'm looking for rubber masks of any Liverpool players for a practical joke something along the lines of keegan, dalglish, souness, Suarez or anyone for that matter.

I've googled but found nothing anyone ever seen anything like this in dublin would make my day to find it before the weekend.

    Cheers

Not latex masks but we had masks made recently of Emlyn Hughes. Got a head shot printed on A4 card , cut around the head and put elastic on them. Very easily done , cost us €20 altogether.

That's so childish but I've never heard it before. Fair play.

What better way to follow a childish post than with a childish response

False. That previous post was hilarious. Real, classic humour.

Are all those soccer players not interchangeable? They could be playing for Liverpool one season, Man Utd the next. How can just one club be cnuts?

Not many footballers have played for Liverpool one season and Man Utd the next, there's no great history of transfers - particularly in modern times - between the two clubs.
If your post was intended as a gratuitous dig at football, or 'soccer', as you call it, then fair enough.
You probably prefer to live in the real world where Galway is in Leinster, London is in Connaught, and you can lose a 'high-stakes' cup game (Kilkenny) but not be eliminated from the competition, good luck to you, we're off to see the wizard...

You probably refer to football as the 'foreign game' ...too!

No actually I don't. I played at a good level and enjoy both Football and GAA as well as Rugby and Golf. You are allowed to like more than one sport.

I've no problems with that answer, I'll get my coat, good luck to you!

Doesnt really work like that. Not many LFC players would go to UTD, same the other way. Phill Chisnall was the last player transferred between the two clubs, from Manchester United to Liverpool and that was in 1964.

What?? Why do you have to answer me so ignorantly? I was asking a genuine question. I don't follow the sport but have seen and heard bits about transfer seasons etc. so therefore a club player isn't necessarily always attached to that club. That's why I asked why Liverpool players can be held in low esteem compared to others.

I see now why soccer has it's own forum and there are no soccer threads allowed in AH -

AH has more than enough **** here already.

Thanks for that. Wasn't specifically targeting Liverpool and Man U either I just don't know an awful lot of other!

To answer your question of why LFC players are held in low esteem...theyre not. Its just Suarez, because he bites people

Yet in the FIFA universe Israel is in Europe and Australia is in Asia. Also Kilkenny lost a knockout game in the Leinster Championship from which they were eliminated.

So does anyone know where you can get LFC player masks?

Obviously I misread the "Are all those soccer players not interchangeable?" line as disparaging in tone, particularly with the use of the word 'soccer' - which is most often used by GAA diehards, RTE presenters and our American friends (God bless 'em Google, Shannon Airport etc.)

If you're saying that you're genuinely ignorant about the beautiful game, then fair enough, I thought you might have been one of those "Why don't them soccer fellas show some loyalty like the GAA county players of London and New York".

    My apologies.

If Israel are allowed to compete in a major compitition like Eurovision Song Contest then I don't see why they should be barred from competing in the top European football tournaments, besides, I don't believe that their neighbours in the middle-east would be overly keen to play against them on a regular basis - there could well be a spot of crowd trouble - no such impediment exists for Counties London and New York who blithely ignore the overtures of Cornwall and Kansas in order to play against 'glamour' sides such as Leitrim and Roscommon.
    What's their excuse?
