Hi, did you know that a bank can negotiate with one signatory on a mortgage account to give interest free payment plans etc against the will of the other signatory on the mortgage, and face no issues with the financial ombudsman, because if you make a complaint to the ombudsman, they will need both signatures from the mortgage on the complaint form, although its that other signatory with the bank you are complaining about, rendering you no rights at all.

    Example,

You seperate and a house is ordered to be sold by the courts.A bank decides to deal with one party to the behest of the other party, ignoring their own rules along the way, you can do absolutely nothing about it.

    Anyone come across that?
